I was contacted by phone back in the spring about harvesting our timber. A very nice gentleman called and we met within a day or two at the most. As we discussed cutting our timber he gave us several options on our tree harvest. After an agreement was made we looked at our options of getting the trees out since we had such a wet winter and spring. John and the forester both worked with us on a way out and not to disturb much of our property. When we signed our contracts they made this a very easy step coming to our house with their Notary. Their forester and his crew took a lot of pain as to not disturb anything we wanted uncut. We did a select cut in our pines, clear cut some small tracks of hardwood. The forester did a nice job of moving tree tops to some gully’s on our property which I really liked. The US Forest Service monitored the cutting and was very pleased with their work. When the job was finished The forester actually spent some time cleaning my roads on my property as we use them to maintain food plots and hunt here. I would recommend Timbco for tree harvesting your property.”

In June this year I had a timber harvest at Freewood Road in Davidson county. John Lupino and I had been discussing this to be done starting around September 2018. I decided to go under contract with Timbco for the Harvest and signed a contract fall 2018 anticipating the work to be completed in the spring as was projected.

I have dealt with four other Timber Companies in the past, including two from another state. I would also add the individual(s) I dealt with that were more seasoned (years of experience ) in the timber market. The customer service they provided was very fractured and hard to deal with at times. Getting answers during the timber harvest was impossible due to the other company(s) purchasing the original contract (timber).
The relationship Matt Swanson formed with us from the start, convinced me Timbco, LLC was the right company to choose. He insured all our needs were covered in the contract and followed up with us weekly during the timber harvest. When I needed to talk to Matt, he returned my calls promptly and insured my questions were answered. We worked with Matt Swanson on the sale of our timber located in Mecklenburg and Halifax counties. Once we agreed to sell the Timber he handled everything in a very professional manner. He scheduled the environmental review by the Virginia Forestry Department and scheduled the Logger to do the work. The Logger respected the boundaries marked for the wet lands and crossed the creek areas with minimal damage. They left the farm roads in better shape than they found them. Matt Swanson monitored the harvest and gave us a prompt response to any questions we had.
After the harvesting was completed they left the land in excellent condition for reforestation. Reforestation is scheduled for early 2018.
